Hi Enrico,

I would like to inquire about constructing a capacitor model with non-parallel plates but with the same area. The coordinates for the plates are as follows:

Plate (1) coordinates: (0,0,0), (5,0,0), (0,5,0), (5,5,0)
Plate (2) coordinates: (2,0,-5), (5,0,-1), (2,5,-5), (5,5,-1)

Could you advise me on how to write the code for this setup? Additionally, how can I include parameters such as -n30 and -e0?

Thank you#65281;

Enrico

Hi Denny,

the easiest method is using FasterCap, that can automatically refine the input structure. You can create the two quadriaterals with no refinement at all (i.e. a Q element with those coordinates) and link them in a list file. The -n30 parameter (that is used in the generators as cubegen.exe) are useless in this case, as FasterCap will refine the structure to match the error you require.

You can use as an example the "capacitor_simple.lst" file that is installed in the Samples directory with the FastFieldSolvers package installation under Windows.

Best Regards,
Enrico
