I have downloaded FastFieldSolvers Software Bundle Version 4.5.1, however each time I start it, "Internal error: unable to Enum windows
FasterCap is not usable" appears. Then the program shows that the license is expired and that the program is not working.

I tried re-opening it again as suggested in other post on the forum, but still same program. Also running it with compatibility settings of Windows 7 and administrative privileges doesn't work.

Can you please tell me how to solve this ?
Thanks.

Enrico

You should be using the bundle 4.5.2 (the 4.5.1 is the old version expired in 2014)

Please check again on the download page, and be sure to have cleaned the browser cache in case you don't see it.

Best Regards,
Enrico

Thanks for your reply. Yes, now I saw the new version, and the license problem is solved. However, Fastcap2 is still not working.

Do you have a valid license? FasterCap is not free, and you need at least a non-expired Demo license to start FasterCap (even from within FastModel).

If you start FasterCap as stand-alone, does it report issues?

Thanks for your reply, and sorry for my late one.

Ok, your advice to check the message by running it separately helped solving the problem.

It was missing libgomp_64-1.dll & pthreadGC2_64.dll, so I searched for them online and added them to the installation folder of Fastercap, now it is working fine. Perhaps that's a compatibility issue of Windows 8.1, anyhow the links of the files are below if someone else have the same problem.

Thank you for pointing out. This is not Win 8.1 related in itself, but to an issue in the compiler toolchain, as these libraries should have been statically linked.
You found the right work-around, however we do NOT recommend to download DLL from unknown sources / repositories, as you may risk to install viruses / trojans in your system.
We'll shortly provide an updated installer with all the required dependencies.
Otherwise you can obtain the missing DLL from TDM GCC 64 (just google it), but you need a full install; of you can write an email to us, and we'll provide the DLLs to be used for the time being.

Best Regards,
Enrico

Ok, I tried only using your personal page on the forum which wasn't working. However, next time I would use the contact page that you suggested.
Thanks.
