Hi all, I'm trying to model a power electronics laminated busbar. It is composed by several planes connected toghether. In the connection points I would need to model a wide area contact. So a section of a plane is connected to a section of same area on the other plane. Would it be possible to use a thick segment to interconect the planes? Or can be a way to define a number of nodes to be equivalent in both planes?

I would not advise using a thick segment, as the only way to expose nodes from a uniform ground plane is with the 'N' directive in the G ground plane definition. Since a segment, no matter how many filaments it is broken into, only connects to two nodes, you would achieve an actual contact of the segment with the ground plane in one point only.
One option would be to expose a number of ground plane nodes, and connect them with segments. But if the distance between the planes is very short, such as that the current flowing in this segments is of negligible effect w.r.t. the impedance you are looking for, you may simply short the nodes int the plane and between the planes using .equiv statements.
If you are using instead nonuniform ground planes, you may even define a 'contact area', i.e. an area where all the nodes are effectively and automatically shorted together in a single node, that you can reference later on in the usual way (e.g. as a starting point of a segment, or .equiv'ing them between the two planes).
