I seem to get the following two error messages on a somewhat regular basis:
Error: cannot retrieve the information about the free memory quantity Cannot go out-of-core, continuing in-core Error: mutual-potential calculation failed. Remark: the precision of the result is affected.
I am not sure exactly what these errors mean, and what I could do to resolve these errors.
Anyone have any ideas? Thank you in advance. |

Have you tried the verbose mode to get more information about the errors? To be able to support you you should find a minimal input file causing the errors and send it for analysis. Anyway if Fastercap cannot go ooc it means there is not enough space on disk, or equivalently FasterCap cannot retrieve information about disk free space. Which OS aee you running the sw on ?

I'm running Windows7 Professional.
Here's an example of the output I'm getting in verbose mode:
Error: mutual-potential calculation gave infinite value panel 1 data panel 5ff06c8 corner coordinates are: (143.75,25,25) (262.5,25,50) (25,25,50) centroid is : (143.75,25,41.6667) panel is leaf panel 2 data panel 21d90b8 corner coordinates are: (262.5,25,50) (25,25,0) (262.5,25,0) centroid is : (183.333,25,16.6667) panel is leaf
This error is repeated several times. |

FasterCap complains about two overlapping panels (see picture). You may not have directly defined these two panels, as they probably are the result of the refinement of larger panels; but for sure you have defined some overlapping panels in your input file. FasterCap does not support overlapping panels.
