Posted - Mar 26 2018 : 22:10:58 I am using FastCap2 to extract capacitance value of a certain geometry: a metal half sphere in a big dielectric sphere (e.g. air). I do get a correct 3D model from the FastModel viewer. But an error message pops up when I solve for the capacitance. I copied the error message as below. Could someone help me with this error?

===============My code======================= I edited based on the example "coated_sph.lst". The main .lst file is as below:
* radius 1 shell is the conductor C halfsphere.txt 2.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 * radius 2 shell is the dielectric interface - air on the outside D sphere_big2.txt 1.0 2.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0
sphere_big2.txt is straight from the example with no change; I changed the original "sphere.txt" to "halfsphere.txt" in order to get a half sphere geometry. "halfsphere.txt" is essentially a list of Q sphere commands, such as:
Posted - Mar 26 2018 : 22:19:08 Never mind.. I solved the problem - turns out I had spaces before the first line of command in the "halfsphere.txt". Once I removed those spaces the code worked.
