Hello everyone!

I'm using FastHenry and FastCap for the systematic prediction of LCR-parameters of planar (mulitlayer) micro-coils. I'm generating different geometries and use the automation capabilities of the tools.

I uploaded an example of the generated input files here:
ht p://omnibus.uni-freiburg.de/~pg857/XwFSGgRa5APFM/

Some questions that I was wondering about:

  • Has anybody tested this kind of simulations and how accurate are the results?

  • What do you think about the discretization for FastHenry? I'm mainly interested in 13.56 MHz and use nhinc=nwinc=2.

  • Discretization for FastCap: I'm using disc.step = maximum length/20.

  • I'm using mm for all length units. The result of FastCap is then given in 10^-3 F, correct?

Thank you for your replies and especially Enrico for the ongoing support in this forum.

Best regards
