In my mind, the qui file is described with the unit of meter. with a error unit of model, that is mm, I got a mF value and after I correct it, the capacity is in the level of nF. But the capacity of sphere is proportional with characteristical length, that is Radius, so what is wrong with the calculation process? |

Posted - Dec 03 2007 : 06:04:29 In fact, the program with single thread running on 32bit-Windowss XP cann't utilize memory larger than 2GB.
For conductor with vaccum cavity inside, like as: C sphere-R2.qui 1.0 0 0 0 D sphere-R1.qui 0.0 1.0 0 0 0 0 0 0 - FastCap gives a different capacity which is larger than that of solid sphere, but a direct model of sphere with cavity does not show the result,so Is it a bug? |

But currently, there is a memory error occured as follows: fastcap: out of memory in file `C:\Documenti\Codice\FastSolvers\FastCap330_051224\fastcap\mulSetup.c' at line 209 (NULL pointer on 4096 byte request) Total Memory Allocated: 1861704 kilobytes (brk = 0x42b050) placeq: 9 levels set up
How to deal with it? I also want to know whether fastcap or fftcap can run on Linux. Is there any guidance on how to get source codes and compile them step by step? |
