In order for accurate calculations to hom many decimal points does FastCap calculate. I am noticing that after a certain amount of decimal points I dont see much of a difference.

Because of the iterative algorithm used to invert the potential matrix in FastCap2, the accuracy of the results is dominated by the 'Iteration tolerance (-t)' parameter.

This parameter is by default set to 0.01, that means that the results are accurate within 1%, as also described in the User's Guide.

You can set the tolerance to a lower value, but this means that the algorithm will take longer to converge to a solution. Choosing the right tolerance depends strictly on your intended use of the results.

Best Regards,
Enrico
